August 13, 2019 (Oshawa, Canada) – EHC Global (EHC), a leading manufacturer of handrails, rollers, composite steel belts, and components to the vertical transportation industry, is pleased to announce Washington State Convention Center (WSCC) in Seattle, Washington, will feature EHC’s patented NT9000 escalator handrail in their new Summit building. WSCC, one of the largest convention centers in the Pacific Northwest region of the USA, is currently undergoing a major expansion project. The project will enable WSCC to capture business it currently and consistently turns away due to lack of space availability.

“EHC is proud to be providing our patented NT9000 escalator handrail as part of Washington State Convention Center’s exciting Summit Building expansion project,” commented Jeno Eppel, President and CEO of EHC Global. “EHC has provided escalator handrails and onsite splicing services to many leading convention centers and meeting venues throughout North America and around the world.”

Developed by EHC, the patented NT handrail platform was introduced in 1997 as an environmentally friendly and technologically advanced alternative to conventional rubber-based products. The NT suite of value-added solutions, collectively referred to as “NT+”, has been engineered to provide enhanced safety, wayfinding, aesthetics, and branding. The NT+ product family includes ColourRail™, SafeRail™, MotionRail™, BrandRail™, AMRail™, and ADRail™. EHC Global’s ADRail™ Handrail Solution Featured in New Balance Training Footwear and Apparel In-Store Campaign

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ADRail™ Escalator Handrail Technology Enhances New Balance Training’s Tactile Branding Experience at Sports Experts Flagship Store in Downtown Montréal

May 22, 2018 (Oshawa, Canada) ─ EHC Global (EHC), a leading manufacturer of components and integrated solutions to the vertical transportation industry, is pleased to announce that New Balance Athletics, Inc. has recently implemented EHC’s patented ADRail™ escalator handrail film platform as part of their current interactive and hands-on New Balance Training branding campaign at the Sports Experts flagship store in downtown Montréal, Canada. The installation of the ADRail™ campaign was managed and executed by Time2Ad Inc., EHC’s exclusive Canadian ADRail™ licensee.

The New Balance Training footwear and apparel campaign was launched on January 25 and features EHC’s patented ADRail™ handrail film technology. ADRail™ is installed directly over the escalator handrail by an EHC-trained and certified technician. The installation and removal process is quick (approximately 60 minutes to install and less than 30 minutes to remove) and does not compromise the performance or service life of the escalator handrail. To date, EHC and its global network of licensees have completed over two thousand ADRail™ installations worldwide.

“ADRail™ was specifically developed by EHC Global for short-term advertising, branding and safety campaigns on escalators and moving walks within retail environments, convention centres, shopping malls, airports and other public spaces,” says Jeno Eppel, President and Chief Executive Officer of EHC. “Our innovative and proven ADRail™ solution can literally transform a ubiquitous black handrail into an attention-grabbing, dynamic and memorable tactile branding experience.”

Additional New Balance Training campaign elements include custom graphics on the escalator balustrades, footwear display tables in all Sports Experts locations, a digital campaign streamed on Sports Experts-owned channels, and custom NB Training videos that will be run in-store on digital screens and on social media channels.

“For New Balance, branding a prominent (and unconventional) section of retail space within this experiential store format with EHC’s innovative ADRail™ solution provided an opportunity to delight consumers, adding a tactile branding element to the overall Training campaign,” says Mark Wasserman, Marketing Manager of New Balance Athletics, Inc. “The larger than life activation allows consumers to see and engage with our brand and get inspired on their path to purchase, and adds to other great consumer activations like the NB Stride I.D. 3D foot scanning technology which is situated on the third floor.”

In May 2017, Sports Experts (www.sportsexperts.ca) officially reopened its downtown Montréal store on the corner of Sainte-Catherine and Mansfield. The $10-million investment included the addition of a third floor, the modernization of two existing escalators and the integration of the latest technologies, including smart mirrors equipped with motion sensors, an indoor track, a New Balance shoe lab, and multiple HD video walls. The 60,000-square-foot store is now the largest Sports Experts store in Quebec. A division of FGL Sports Ltd., Sports Experts has been the go-to retailer for active Quebecers for nearly 50 years and features more than 105 stores in the province.

EHC Global is a proud and long-standing provider of escalator handrail and other lift solutions to leading sporting goods brands and retailers around the world including Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s, Champs Sports, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Foot Locker, Mike Sport, Modell’s Sporting Goods, Nike, Scheels, Sport Chek, Sportarena, Under Armour and Viladomat.

EHC Global Receives 2017 Impact Safety Award from the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

EHC Global Acknowledged for its Contributions to Public Safety in Ontario

December 1, 2017 (Oshawa, Canada) ─ EHC Global (EHC), a leading manufacturer of components and integrated solutions to the vertical transportation industry, is pleased to announce that the company has been selected as a recipient of the 2017 Impact Safety Award by the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA). TSSA believes that making Ontario a safe place to work, live and play is a shared responsibility. The Impact Safety Award acknowledges organizations that have made significant contributions to public safety in Ontario that go above and beyond regulatory compliance.

“We are thrilled to receive this prestigious award from TSSA on behalf of all of EHC employees around the world,” says Jeno Eppel, President and Chief Executive Officer of EHC. “EHC Global is committed to helping to make the world a better place by developing innovative safety solutions, participating in industry groups and safety committees, and promoting best practices when it comes to proper escalator use.”

In 2016, EHC announced the global launch of NT SafeRail™ handrail solutions to the healthcare market with Durham Region-based Lakeridge Health serving as EHC’s launch customer. Escalators at Lakeridge Health’s Oshawa hospital were retrofitted with EHC’s patented NT handrail, which features permanent and vandalism-resistant safety messages to encourage safe and responsible escalator use.

“EHC’s safety designs and escalator messaging fit nicely with TSSA’s own efforts in addressing safety on escalators,” says Roger Neate, TSSA’s Director of Elevating and Amusement Devices. “While EHC has a truly global presence, their safety impact on Ontario’s riding public is more than worthy of TSSA’s Impact Safety Award. With a passion for safety and engineering excellence, EHC has firm grip on escalator safety.”

The 2017 Impact Safety Award was presented to EHC during TSSA’s annual general meeting, which was recently held in Ottawa, Ontario. EHC was also featured in TSSA’s 2017 Annual Report and profiled in a feature video produced by the TSSA (https://www.tssa.org/en/about-tssa/safety-awards.aspx).
